School Uniform
The uniform is an important part of being a student at the Howard of Effingham School. Our expectations of the students’ appearance must remain high at all times.
All students are expected to wear the full school uniform. No deviation from the prescribed garments can be permitted.

Specialist materials and apparatus will be provided in lessons though students will require some of their own equipment.
We have updated our uniform list in line with the DfE’s guidance on school uniform for September 2026. There are four compulsory branded items (blazer, skirt, PE polo shirt and tie / flash). Other required items are non-branded.
The former branded items (other PE kit items and school jumper) are optional and may be purchased from our kit supplier. Alternative non-branded versions are available from a number of retailers.
ALL CLOTHING AND FOOTWEAR MUST BE CLEARLY NAMED
Parents are respectfully requested to ensure that students avoid extremes of fashion and note that garments listed as ‘plain’ should be un-patterned and bear no logo or motif unless it is the school badge (see uniform list).
